General Terms and Conditions


Gifts are only available if purchased with a letter.

If you order a gift or gifts to go with your letter, the option sent will be the silver box with an outer mailer and you will be charged accordingly.

Order in plenty of time; it’s recommended that you give us about 14 days to write the letter, package and post it. The more time you allow, the more satisfactory the letter experience will be for the recipient – we don’t want to rush such an important letter. Please allow at least 7 working days for delivery.

If you need the letter urgently, please contact us first. We can use express delivery at an extra cost to you, but please note it could still take up to 4 working days to reach you depending on your location.

Letters from the Christmas Fairy should be ordered as early as possible. The Christmas Fairy is sent by Santa to make sure the child behaves throughout December, i.e. from December 1st so early ordering is highly recommended. This is, of course, flexible, but ordering as early as possible will give you a good deal of leverage for encouraging good behaviour during this exciting period!

An email will be sent to you once your package has been despatched.

The Fairy Letter will be sent inside a mailer – either a padded bag or a mailing box, depending on the product chosen. The letter will be addressed to the child, using just their name. You may wish to have the mailer addressed to yourself instead of the child to keep the magic alive as the mailer will have standard postmarks and possibly customs forms stuck on it, please ensure you make the details clear to us upon ordering.

Whilst every attempt will be made to get your order to you on time, Dear Fairies cannot be held responsible for matters beyond their control, such as the disparities of postal systems in some countries, postal strikes, misdelivery, Goblin take-over bids or other unforeseen circumstances.

Your order will have a unique reference number. You will receive this upon confirmation of your order. Please use this number in all your correspondence with us – we don’t want to get any letters muddled up!

If your gift is received damaged or faulty, please contact us by email at mail@dearfairies.com in the first instance. All items are checked personally before sending and packaged with care, so we cannot be held liable for damage in transit. You will need to return the item, together with its packaging, so we can refund you or replace the item as required. Replacement cannot be guaranteed on a like for like basis depending on stock. We will keep in email contact with you until the matter is resolved to your satisfaction.

Cancellation of your order can be made free of charge at any time up to the day of posting (you will receive an email when the letter has been sent). Please email us as soon as you know you wish to cancel.

Once the letter has been despatched, you have 7 days after receiving the package in which to cancel. Everything must be returned, unopened and in its original packaging to the address you will be given in the email. Return postage will be at your expense and you will be refunded the full amount paid minus £5 to cover time, postage and packaging.
